Soleil draws its architectural identity from the Early Modern Parisian residential buildings designed in the late 1920s by the innovative and world-renowned architect, Le Corbusier. This style is defined by expansive glazing, geometric window patterns, horizontal ribbon windows, and smooth white stucco walls that sit flush with the glass. The result is a striking “dematerialization” effect, where the façade appears light, floating, and almost weightless despite its mass. Soleil incorporates these same design principles to evoke the same clean, effortless, and visually airy aesthetic.
Live architecturally inspired
Architects Erik Johnson and Jonathan Labahn led the creation of Soleil. Labahn, a driving force behind the 3rd Street Improvement Project in Phoenix, pushed the city to add 150 trees, shade structures, crosswalks, bike lanes, and additional upgrades completed in June 2022. As the visionary behind the acclaimed Ocotillo culinary project, he stays closely connected to the city’s rhythm. Johnson, an award-winning residential architect from Chicago, brings equal passion and expertise. Together, they advance forward-thinking design and architecture in the Sonoran Desert.
